Mr. Pea Sheller does an excellent job shelling black eye, purple hulls, cream peas as well as butter beans. For best results produce must be fresh and green.
The Mr. Pea Sheller can shell a 5 gallon bucket of purple hull peas in about 15 minutes.
For small batches, Mr. Pea Sheller comes equipped with a hand crank. However, I find the Mr Pea Sheller hand crank to be rather tiring and it is difficult to get good results. For best results Mr. Pea Sheller can be connected to a 100 watt electric mixer instead. When using your mixer it should be run at medium or high speed for maximum torque.
